1. Diffuse Lemon Essential Oil
You can diffuse lemon oil for better focus, positive mood, cleaner air & a crisp clean aroma.
When diffused, lemon essential oil provides an uplifting environment and will help to keep the mood positive. Due to the chemical makeup of this oil, it has been shown to help improve mood with its energizing and invigorating aroma.

2. Use Lemon Essential Oil To Preserve And Maintain Timber And Leather Furniture
The cleansing and preserving qualities of Lemon essential oil make it the perfect oil for maintaining your furniture.
Whether your furniture could use a good wipe-down, a new shine, or a just a little TLC, there are several ways to use Lemon essential oil when it comes to cleaning and preserving furniture.
By adding a few drops of Lemon oil to some olive oil, you can create your own non-toxic furniture polish at home. When applied to furniture, Lemon oil leaves a clean shine, prevents fine wood finishes from drying out, and can replace lost moisture in antique timbers as it penetrates worn finishes.
When trying this polish on your own homemade furniture, always apply the polish in an inconspicuous spot before applying it to the entire piece.
Take a look at my ‘Make Your Own Beeswax Furniture Polish’ video to learn how to make your own beeswax furniture polish, and add some Lemon oil to the mix for both its clean, citrusy aroma, and its timber preserving qualities.
Now, while Lemon oil can work wonders with wood furniture, it is also useful for maintaining leather furniture! It takes a lot of work and special care to preserve a leather couch or leather chair. But Lemon essential oil takes a lot of the work out of it for you with its preservative properties.
Try using a Lemon oil soaked cloth to wipe down your leather furniture to help preserve the piece, and prevent leather on furniture, or other leather items, from drying out, cracking and splitting.
3. Use Lemon Essential Oil To Bring The Shine Back On Your Silver
Lemon oil is a great remedy for the early stages of tarnish on silver and other metals. You’ll find that there’s no need to throw out jewelry, silverware, or other household items that have started to tarnish.
Simply put a couple drops of Lemon oil on a cotton ball, and rub over the tarnish on silver or metal to bring back the natural shine and beauty of your jewelry, and other silver or metal items.

4. Use Lemon Oil To Flavor Sweets, Cakes And Desserts
Are you a fan of lemon flavoured desserts? I am! One of the best thing about doTERRA essential oils is that they can provide AMAZING flavours to foods!
So did you know you can add a sweet and zesty punch to your favorite treats and dessert recipes just by adding a little lemon essential oil? You can!
In fact often Lemon oil can add a sweet, sugary taste to desserts, without loads of processed sugar or other alternative ingredients.
For example, the bold, bright flavor of Lemon oil can be used in many of the keto desserts and ice cream recipes shared on my website (like this scrumptious Keto Wild Orange and Choc Chip ice cream) and can easily be used in the delicious dessert recipes in my favorite Keto Desserts recipe book.

5. Use Lemon Essential Oil For Seasonal Respiratory Discomfort
If you’re bothered by seasonal changes causing respiratory discomfort, sneezing and congestion, lemon essential oil can help to support your body into a happier state.
Lemon oil can be used on its own for this purpose, but may be more effective when combined with its friends Peppermint and Lavender!
Diffuse lemon, peppermint and lavender essential oils together at this time of year to support family members, and pets, who might be suffering the effects of seasonal changes.
Take one or two drops of lemon, peppermint and lavender essential oils together in water, or in a veggie cap, to help settle things down.
Add lemon, peppermint and lavender essential oils to a roller bottle, diluted accordingly for age, then top with fractionated coconut oil and roll over sinus areas on the head and face.
Your roller bottle blend can also be used on the soles of the feet for additional support.
As you can see Lemon oil has many uses. If you missed my first post and video you can find them here.
